Women’s Heart – The Most Sensitive One

Every year thousands of women die of heart attacks or any other cardiovascular diseases. But people including healthcare professionals, do not realize that the symptoms of heart attack in women are often different than in men. Most commonly symptoms of heart attack in women are nausea, dizziness, and anxiety.

As per the research of National Institutes of Health (NIH) women often experiences different physical symptoms before experiencing heart attacks. The report of the NIH tells that many symptoms of heart attack in women may include unusual fatigue, sleep disturbance, shortness of breath, indigestion and anxiety and feeling of pressure like pain in chest between the breasts that may go towards left arm or shoulder. Other symptoms of heart attack in women may include weakness, clammy sweat, dizziness, edema, fluttering. Pain is not always a symptom of heart attack in women as it can be from any physical stress like exercising or household work. There are symptoms like jaw pain, arm pain or upper back pain but these pains should not be misinterpreted as symptoms of heart attack. If you are in any doubt or experience any symptom then you must rush to the emergency room immediately. Cardiovascular diseases are one of leading causes of the death of people these days. Any women experiencing any of the symptoms should be alert and seek immediate attention from the doctor as heart attack is one situation where getting a proper treatment can mean the difference between death and life.
