Does chain Smoking cause Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a very common skin ailment that is found in the body of many people. It is a disease that has a long lasting effect on the skin of the human beings. Due to this skin disease, the skin gets discolored and it looks absolutely disgraceful. There are many causes of Psoriasis and most of these causes are very common and are found almost everywhere. Among the various causes, the major causes of Psoriasis are related to excessive stress and smoking. They are found to be the most prominent ones. Smoking is a social evil; however it has a very harmful effect on the body as well. Apart from heart and respiratory troubles, smoking also causes Psoriasis.
Cigarettes have harmful ingredients like Nicotine in them. These ingredients are among the chief causes of Psoriasis. Nicotine which is also present in tobacco harms the natural and biological balance of the skin and cause some imbalances in it. As a result of these imbalances, the skin loses its quality and starts getting affected by the harmful effects of the smoke and other chemicals that are found in the smoke emitted by these cigarettes and cigars. As a matter of fact, these harmful elements affect the immune system of the body and that is why the problems start getting increasingly serious. As a result of this damage to the skin of the human body, the possibility of aggravating Psoriasis also increases quite severely. That is why people must understand the fact that smoking is one of the causes of Psoriasis and they must stop smoking with immediate effect. It is really important to take proper and timely steps to escape from the causes of psoriasis.
