Alopecia

It is a condition of loss of hair from the body or head. It will lead to a condition called baldness. The alopecia is of different types. The patchy hair loss is alopecia areata. It is sudden hair loss will result in patches. Once it starts then we can’t cure it. It will lead to baldness. If we lose the hair of entire body then it is called alopecia universalis. The same condition will occur when we do chemotherapy. The alopecia destroys the hair follicle and replaces it with scar tissues. It is of different type and affects both the men and the women. There are different types of alopecia hair loss treatment. Androgenetic alopecia hair loss treatment, diffuse alopecia hair loss treatment, traction alopecia hair loss treatment, areata alopecia hair loss treatment are some of it.
For alopecia corticosteroids are used. They are injected into the body or in the form of tablets. The hair growth may persist up to 6 months after one injection. We have to repeat this injection after certain intervals and the process cause a little pain as it is injecting directly into our body. At the same time the steroids will cause adverse effect in the body as they cause hormonal and other problems.

The ayurveda also suggest some treatments for the alopecia. As ayurveda is the use of natural herbs it does not produce any negative effect. It is the traditional medicine of India. The ayurveda believes in three doshas ,vatta pitta and kapha. A person’s basic nature is based on the unique blend of these three doshas. All the disease is due to the imbalance of these three doshas. Herbal oil, herbal paste, herbal powders are used for the treatment. The ayurvedic treatment is very effective but it takes a little more time to get cured.
