All about Low-density Cholesterol

Lipoproteins are the agents that carry the insoluble cholesterol to and from cells in a blood stream. Actually, cholesterol is a wax-like metabolic steroid in cell membrane which flows throughout the blood plasma of every animal. Cholesterols are of different types. Significantly, only two of them HDL and LDL are known to used in the edible oil we use.

LDL or low-density lipoprotein is considered as bad cholesterol. This lipoprotein is accountable for all the heart diseases which are caused by cholesterol. If you are consuming g high level of LDL then you are in grave danger. The chemical structure and characteristics of this lipoprotein makes it a very affective inhibitor. Low- density lipoprotein is accountable for the accumulation of waxy deposit in blood vessels.
It is seen that a high amount of LDL flowing in blood plasma glues to the walls of blood vessels like arteries and narrows it dimensions. If an artery becomes inflexible then a person can have heart attack anytime. The major problem with LDL is the deposit which builds up in artery. Artery is the blood vessel which brings in blood to the heart and brain. So, if sufficient amount of blood doesn’t reach heart then the overall blood circulation is affected. This is one of the reasons for heart attacks. If the artery deposit thickens then a person might have to go for surgery in order to vacate the space. As artery feeds the brain too and if ideal amount of blood is not transferred to brain then you might have to endure severe head ache and Hypertension.
