Know more about the Auscultatory method of taking blood pressure

Blood pressure is one of the most important physical features which balance is a major issue for a human being. Most people have a measurement for blood pressure as it is a sign of a living body. However, there are many people who have fluctuating blood pressure and that is sometimes categorized as high or low blood pressure. Any change from the normal range of blood pressure can be problematic for the person and he needs a treatment as soon as possible. There are many ways of measuring it; however Auscultatory method is probably the most common and also the best way of measuring the pressure of blood in the body.
The Auscultatory method was started by Riva-Rocci and Korotkoff in the 20th century. This Auscultatory method was not accepted by the doctors as it was difficult to measure the pressure of blood inside the human body. However, the increased number of trainings made the doctors comfortable and today this Auscultatory method is believed to be the most dependable method for the purpose. The machine that is used in this method of measuring the pressure of blood in the human body is very sophisticated and that is why the measurement is very accurate each and every time. The accuracy has improved quite considerably with the improvement in the device that is used in the measurement by using the Auscultatory method. This method is still found to be very authentic all over the world. That is why the popularity of this method is also increasing each and every day.

Definition of pulse pressure

The measurement of blood pressure includes two types of readings known as systolic and that of diastolic pressures. These two readings are taken at the two extreme ends of a cardiac cycle and are considered to be the person’s highest and lowest blood pressure levels. The pulse pressure is nothing but the difference between the systolic and diastolic pressures. For example if the normal blood pressure is 120/80 mm of mercury then the normal pulse pressure is 40 mm of mercury during rest condition.

A person having a normal blood pressure will have a pulse pressure of 40 mm but that does not mean that a person with 40 mm pulse pressure will have a normal blood pressure. Some information revels that pulse pressure is an important clinical tool to determine the blood pressure, how ever it becomes complicated and is risky some times.

Pulse pressure is a strong indicator of heart ailments. A high pulse pressure indicates risk of heart failure and low pulse pressure indicates that the heart is weak and significant blood loss. Low pulse pressure causes trauma and low stroke volume in heart leading to a congestive heart failure. A pulse pressure which is lower than 25mm of mercury and more then 45 mm is extremely dangerous and causes serious health hazards. A high pulse pressure leads to stiffness of pulse pressure leading to rupture of arteries. A patient suffering from elevated blood pressure should undergo medications such as Anzio tension converting enzyme inhibitor.

How winter affects High blood pressure?

This is a fact that seasonal change can have a radical impact on blood pressure. People suffering from high blood pressure problem always come across severe hypertension when a season changes. Winter is one of the season in which can have an unimaginable affect on blood regulation.

A study has recently shown that heart attacks occurrence ratio is higher in winter as compared to other season. Even mild climate can have a huge impact if a person has a sedentary life with high blood pressure problems. Actually, there is big biological reason behind this concept. In winter, blood vessel constricts making the blood vessel narrow. Blood regulation rate decreases drastically and the circulation is abruptly interrupted. In such case all the load comes over our heart as its work rate is increased drastically. Heart has to pump the blood out in quick sessions but doesn’t receive required amount of blood. This means that the heart will not receive the requisite amount of oxygen and thus a heart attack might become a conclusion in such conditions.
Hence, if you have high blood pressure problem then you need to keep a tab in winter. Try to get an active routine for yourself. If you feel any pain or any trait of high blood pressure then rush to your doctor and try to get an aid to retract the tension from the blood vessels. High Blood Pressure is a huge problem but it is always overlooked so don’t overlook it this time around.

Blood Pressure | Blood Pressure Causes | Blood Pressure symptoms - Treatment Tips

Blood Pressure disease is caused due to various different reasons. But some commonly known reasons are bad food habits and high mental stress.
Blood pressure disease is caused when the pressure of blood on arteries for blood circulation differs from the normal pressure than expected one. During each heart beat, the pressure of blood on arteries varies between the maximum and the minimum. The maximum is systolic level and the minimum is diastolic pressure. Generally the blood pressure is measured on person’s upper arm in case of Blood pressure disease. Normal blood pressure of a healthy human being is expected to be 120 (systolic) and 80 (diastolic).

Blood pressure higher than the above levels for either systolic or diastolic is called condition of hi-blood pressure disease. There are different stages of this disease and the higher stage leads to high risk of cardiac arrest. Generally, patients of hypertension complain about headaches, dizziness, high perspiration, etc.
Similarly the lower level of blood pressure is a condition of low- blood pressure disease. Low blood pressure is relative to person’s normal blood pressure levels and can vary from person to person. In some cases normal blood pressure levels being on normal side might be healthy. Very low blood pressure in comparison to person’s normal blood pressure is the condition of low blood pressure disease.
There are no specific symptoms in case of Blood pressure disease. This is the reason it is called silent killer Hypertension which leads to damage of heart and also subsequently effects on kidney. These are both highly dangerous situations for the patient. The heart is not able to pump enough blood and oxygen to brain and other organs. Blood pressure can lead to dangerous situation like organ failure.
